ShapeLines Support
ShapeLines is a strategic lines puzzle for iPhone and iPad. Move a shape along an open path, complete the line your board requires, and turn planning into clears and combos.
If something is not working, or you have a question this page does not answer, email ivanscvetkovs@icloud.com and include your device model, iOS version and the app version from Settings → About. Replies usually go out within two business days.
Frequently asked questions
How many shapes make a line?
It depends on the board. A 5×5 board clears at 3 matching shapes, 6×6 at 4, 7×7 through 9×9 at 5, and 10×10 at 6. The Match badge above the board always shows the requirement for the board you are playing, and How to Play lists every size.
Why was my score not submitted to the leaderboards?
Any game in which you use an AI hint is kept off Game Center leaderboards, and so is every Tactical Coach session. Those scores are still saved as assisted personal bests in Personal Records. Games played without hints submit normally. The game-over screen tells you which happened.
Accessibility extra time in the timed modes also keeps a score off the leaderboards, for the same fairness reason.
Where did my progress go?
Progress is stored on your device and mirrored to iCloud when you are signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive enabled. If a game you started on another device does not appear, open the app on both devices while online and give iCloud a moment to sync. When a newer game arrives from another device while you are mid-game, ShapeLines asks before replacing your board.
Signing out of iCloud does not delete anything locally; the game keeps working device-only.
I am not signed in to Game Center
Leaderboards and achievements need Game Center. If you are signed out, ShapeLines keeps playing and queues your results, then submits them the next time you sign in. Sign in from Settings → Game Center on your device.
The AI hints do nothing on my device
Hints have two layers. The rule-based coach always works, offline and on every supported device. The optional Apple Intelligence layer only runs where the system model is available; when it is not, or when a request times out, the app falls back to the rule-based hint and tells you why. Nothing about your board ever leaves the device.
How do I reset my statistics?
Open Personal Records and use Reset All Statistics at the bottom. This clears local records and the copy in iCloud. It cannot be undone.
Which accessibility features are supported?
VoiceOver reaches every cell on the board, with rotors for shapes and move destinations. There is a colorblind mode that adds a distinct symbol to each shape, a High Contrast theme, full Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion support, optional extra time in the timed modes, and support for Xbox, PlayStation, MFi and keyboard controllers.
Which languages does ShapeLines support?
English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Russian. Change the language in Settings → Appearance → Language; it applies immediately without restarting.
Does ShapeLines cost anything or show ads?
No. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no analytics and no tracking. The game works fully offline.
